This bespoke safari and beach holiday blends the iconic wildlife experiences of Northern Tanzania with the serene, palm-fringed shores of Zanzibar. Begin your adventure with a tranquil overnight stay in Arusha before venturing into the heart of safari country—Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, and the legendary Serengeti. After thrilling game drives and breathtaking landscapes, unwind on the powdery white sands of Zanzibar Island.
After landing at Kilimanjaro International Airport, a friendly driver will greet you and take you to Rivertrees Country Inn. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy the peaceful gardens, take a dip in the pool, or spot monkeys and birds in the surrounding trees.

Your safari begins! Head toward Lake Manyara, a lush and scenic park framed by the dramatic Great Rift Valley escarpment. Look out for hippos, flamingos, and troops of playful monkeys. After a full day of exploration, continue to Rhotia Valley Tented Lodge, nestled in the rolling hills near Karatu.

Rise early for a magical day inside the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best places in Africa to spot the Big Five. Enjoy a picnic lunch near the lake before heading back to Rhotia for dinner under the stars.

Depart for the legendary Serengeti, passing through the wildlife-rich Ndutu region. Arrive at Kiota Camp, your stylish base for the next three nights, perched on a hill with sweeping views of the plains.
Get fully immersed in Serengeti’s wonders. Whether you’re searching for big cats, watching herds of wildebeest and zebra, or simply enjoying the freedom of the bush, your private guide will tailor each day to your interests.

Know your Safari Seasons
The "regular" or "dry" safari season in East Africa generally offers optimal game viewing due to reduced rainfall and vegetation, making it easier to spot wildlife. These months offer a balance between lower prices, fewer tourists, and decent game viewing.
Animals are concentrated around water, vegetation is low and sparse, and predators are circling. But at this time of year, the famous wildebeest migration is in Tanzania’s Serengeti, moving southwards following the end of year rains. Witness the Serengeti dramatic birthing season: it’s one of the best times to watch predator/prey interaction.
It’s green because it’s wet. This is the time of the ‘Long Rains’ and some of the more remote and wild reserves in East Africa are worth avoiding; accommodations may be closed anyway. Gorilla trekking becomes more difficult, and in Kenya and Tanzania’s reserves, wildlife tends to disperse across wider areas, making animals more difficult to see.
